What can I expect when renting equipment from Nantucket Baby?
All of our equipment was purchased in 2016/2017 and many items have been updated/replaced for summer 2017. We have a great selection of top of the line equipment and we stand behind our products as they are all JPMA, ASTM and CPSC safety certified. We sanitize all of our products between each use with the highest of standards using non toxic, environmental friendly products. Upon your arrival you will find that your equipment has been set up and ready to use, making your transition into your vacation home an easier one!
What if I lose or damage equipment?
If equipment is lost, stolen or damaged, we will charge your credit card on file a fee to replace that item at retail price. We ask that you return the gear in the condition it was in when delivered to you. We will look at each incident individually and exceptions will be made, for example beach toys, umbrellas, and certain children toys.
What are your cancellation policies?
We understand that plans change. There is no penalty for cancelled orders as long as they are cancelled within 48 hours of the reservations, after that your credit card will be charged for the full rental amount. As a courtesy, if you need to cancel your order we do ask that you give notice of at least 7 days. There is no penalty to add/subtract items from your order.
Do you install car seats?
We do not provide installation of car seats but all of our seats come with manuals and the local fire department will be of any assistance you may need when installing your car seats for your little ones.
What form of payment do you except?
We accept American Express, Master Card, Visa, Discover and PayPal.
Do you deliver to Sconset? What are your delivery/pick up policies?
We provide FREE delivery to all parts of the island, including Sconset. We also provide FREE delivery of carseats to the airport and boat terminals. We work closely with the realtors and homeowners to have your groceries and equipment set up prior to your arrival to Nantucket. Please note however that there are a lot of factors involved in accessing the home, especially if there were prior tenants. If we can not gain access to the home, the equipment will be left on a porch or patio. We guarantee all deliveries by 4 pm, unless otherwise noted by our clients/homeowners. For pick-ups, we ask that all equipment be ready for a 9am pick up, unless previously arranged for a later time. If you will be leaving the home prior to our arrival, we ask that you leave a door open for us to come in and take the equipment down, or leave it on a back porch or patio.
How does your grocery service work?
We ask that you provide a grocery list via email or on our online form, found on our website, under the Grocery Page. Your list can include multiple stops, as we work at an hourly rate of $40/hr. Most grocery lists submitted by our clients take on average 2 hours. Once a list is submitted, we can give you an estimate of time. There are two grocery stores on island, Stop & Shop (mid-island) and Stop & Shop (town). Bartlett’s Farm and Annye’s provide organic food for your liking and there are many beer/wine/spirits stores on island for your favorite selections.
If I don’t see something on your site, can I still request it?
If you are traveling to Nantucket, and you do not see a product that you are custom to at home, feel free to ask, chances are we may have it or something similar.
